Sweet little miniature sideboard or cabinet with a mirror back between two small drawers, above two larger drawers and a lower cupboard. The two, thick doors have central panels, maybe meant to look like glass and, one side has a brass knob and the other a working lock complete with brass escutcheon and key.
The drawers have matching knobs and they fit and move well. The little mirror has all but disappeared, looks like it was made from foiled glass, but its very charming. The cabinet is raised on 4 little brass feet.
Originally, it looks like it was stained a red mahogany colour and at some point in its history its been painted a plain, taupe colour, ready to be repainted if desired - and its so small a sample pot of paint would easily cover it. The construction is solid and sturdy, probably home-made by a good woodworker around the date 1900. Its a perfect little decorative piece for jewellery, sewing accessories, doll's clothes or trinkets.
Approx 32cm high x 23cm wide x 11.5cm deep (12 1/2 x 9 x 4 1/2). If in Europe, I will send an adjusted invoice. The item "Antique Miniature Wooden Cabinet/ Dresser Jewellery Box, Dolls House etc" is in sale since Thursday, January 16, 2020. This item is in the category "Antiques\Woodenware\Boxes".
