A terrific box in wonderful condition. Satinwood veneered to both side and back with rosewood and satinwood top and front.The whole box displaying wonderful colour and graining. Inlaid mother of pearl to the central cartouche and keyhole escutcheon. The box was made in Ireland at the well known maker Mansfield at 90 Grafton St Dublin. William Mansfield was actually a photographer turned dress case maker. There is also another name printed on the label for J. The label was originally on the inside lid. We steamed this off and will provide this with the box at time of sale.
