This is a nice old carved wood and ornately inlaid box (see photos). The item looks to me to be Asian or Middle Eastern in origin. The box is made of wood with very nice inlaid decorations, brass trim and hinged lid with a lock (see photos). The item is not marked by the maker. The item may be from India (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). This is an old box. The fabric lining in the box is likely not original (see photos). The item has some losses to the inlay, it has a lock that is open (no key) and it has some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).

This item in total measures about 3 and 3/4ths inches high, it is about 5+ inches from the front edge to the back side and it is about 12+ inches wide from side to side. This item would be nice to add to your collection.
