Vintage Solid Wood Jewelry Chest/Box with Hand-Tooled Brass Hasp/lock & Trim

Although this items is preowned it is in really excellent condition. This is a very solid, sturdy beautiful jewelry chest with gorgeous brass accents. The corners are edged in hand-tooled brass trim as well as the door hinges and front panel embellishment. There is a 3 ¼ brass emblem on the lid as well as 2 circular brass emblems that measure 2 ¾ that hold the sturdy brass handles on each side. There is also a solid brass lock and key system that is in perfect working condition.

The top lid is hinged as well as the 2 doors that encase 3 separate drawers. Inside, the top compartment and the 3 drawers are lined with a bright red silk brocade-like fabric depicting dragons.

The first drawer has two compartments, second drawer has 1 large compartment lined with ring pillows for the insertion of rings/earrings on either side and the the third drawer in one large compartment. The chest weighs a little over 12 pounds.

It is approximately 9 ¾ tall, approximately 14 long and approximately 9 wide. This chest is in excellent condition. It has been well cared for over the years. There are no visible scratches that I could find but please look carefully at the pictures and request close ups if you need to see something better. The right door does stick minimally and a tiny amount of the brass does need polished. The interior fabric is in perfect condition with no stains, wear or tears.
